As part of the internal professional development activities in LEA, several courses are offered to LEA members and associates. This course focuses on the application of two-level structural equation modeling in the software Mplus. The short course will introduce participants to the key concepts and syntax elements to perform and interpret two-level SEM with large-scale data.

Together with colleagues, Julius Björnsson edited a special issue for the journal Acta Didactica Norge, and many LEA members contributed to it. This issue concerns the topic of "Nasjonale prøver og eksamener i norsk og svensk grunnopplæring" and brings together eighteen contributions.

LEA contributes to the upcoming PhD-course on Basic Quantitative Methodology. The course comprises four days of teaching, and LEA organizes one day of it. Key topics include: (1) Scores, scales, and measurement models; (2) Reliability; (3) Content, criterion, and construct validity .

The LEA group has recently published a special section on the advanced technologies in educational assessment. This special section covers a broad range of technologies and psychometric models to measure complex constructs in education. It also brings to attention the potential and the challenges that are associated with these advanced technologies.
