Identifying barriers to equality in education

The ambition of this research strand is to provide the knowledge needed for addressing the barriers to equality in education.

Specifically, we aim to disentangle the causal mechanisms hindering equality and to understand for whom, how, and why these mechanisms operate. For this purpose, we examine individual and context effects on oral language, reading, mathematics, and problem-solving skills over the life-course, over time, and across countries.
