Week 42: "The presenters were absolutely excellent. They should give this presentation regularly!"

So said one of last year’s participants. Mark your calendars for yet another remarkable Week 42, from October 14-18, where research ethics, rhetoric and public opinion, impact, AI, and data visualization are among the ingredients.

And more: "This presentation addressed a crucial topic that every PhD and postdoc should be exposed to at least once during their academic journey, ideally at the beginning."

Don't miss the chance to learn from UiO's very own superstar, Shane Colvin, along with Elisa Pierfederici from DSC.

"It is one of the most educational seminars I have attended recently!"

Their session on PowerPoint presentations and data visualization promises to be both professional and entertaining.

Research impact with Audun Farbrot and Thomas Olafsen

Join Audun Farbrot, author of three handbooks on science communication, and Thomas Olafsen, head of communication at the Faculty of Medicine, for their renowned talk on research impact.

This was one of the most popular parallel sessions at this year’s NUAS communications conference in Copenhagen. Learn how to make your research matter outside the university!

Additional sessions to look forward to

You will also get the chance to hear Astrid Marie Jorde Sandsør, winner of the faculty’s dissemination prize 2022, give a talk about grant writing, QualiFAIR about open research, Elisabeth Staksrud about research ethics, Cato Bjørkly about AI in research, Kristian Bjørkdal about rhetoric and public opinion, academic writing, career development and even more exciting lectures and workshops.
