Who can become Dean and Vice Dean?
Indicative competence requirements for Dean (in Norwegian only)
Election Committee
An election committee has been appointed to ensure that the job descriptions as Dean and Vice Dean are known to both voters and potential candidates, and that the candidates are presented in a way that gives voters necessary information to assess their qualifications for the role. The committee consists of:
- Professor Helge Ivar Strømsø, Department of Education - committee leader
- Professor Joke Dewilde, Department of Teacher Education and School Research
- Adviser Sigurd Hasle, Department of Special Needs Education
- Student Sarosh Rafi, with substitute student Sebastian Leite Snell
Anyone who has input for candidates, and employees who are considering running for election, can contact the committee leader or another committee member.
How to propose candidates?
Candidates for election must be formally proposed by the proposal deadline.
- Everyone with the right to vote have the right to propose candidates for the position as Dean and Vice Dean
- Candidate proposals must be signed by at least ten people entitled to vote
- Candidates that are proposed should be requested and have agreed to take on the position if he/she is elected
- No one can sign more than one proposal for the same position
Proposals must be submitted using the online form by 11 September 2024.
Please note: Documentation/confirmation of proposers must be uploaded as an attachment in the online form.
If a candidate proposal contains more than 20 proposers, only the first 20 proposers are published. If a candidate proposal is put forward by fewer than 20 proposers, all of them will be made public.
Voting rights
Students and employees in permanent positions and in at least 50 % position at the faculty, as well as employees in position as professor II, have the right to vote. In addition, temporary employees have the right to vote if they are in a continuous employment relationship of 50% or more on election days.
