Tasks performed
As an Educational Advisor at the Faculty of Education (UV), I hold responsibilities to:
- Drive research-based innovation in education through digital solutions
- Contribute to IDEA, UV's resource center for educational technology by developing resources and analyzing tool usage
- Advance UV's mission through various initiatives
Background
In the United States, I recieved my bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, followed by a master's in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2022, was awarded a Fulbright grant, which allowed me to move to Norway to begin working in Norwegian higher education.
At the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), I worked as the university's academic Writing Centre as coordinator, where I led lectures, designed instrructional material, and trained student writing advisors to best assist students with academic writing. I then worked as a research collaborator within the Learning Centre to inform pedagogical development oppurtunties in areas such as Universal Design for Learning, sustainability didactics, digital academic dissemintation, student engagement, and artificial intelligence in education.
