Abstracts of the seminar
Data-driven technology transforms educational practices as it requires to determine any situation. But, process-ontological perspectives conceive social situations as indeterminate. Productive moves thus allow to determine a situation by creating it and thereby become transactional. Based on this epistemological foundation, the talk conceptualizes "Bildung" as ontological and learners' moves as transactional and poetic. Those poetic moves are contrasted with the regulatory moves of state-of-the-art data-driven technology.
About Heidrun Allert:
Heidrun Allert is the head of the department of Media Education/Educational Computer Sciences at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Her current research interest is on creative practices as well as critical software studies in educational technology research. Since 2000, she has been involved in a number of national and international projects in the areas of technology-enhanced learning and knowledge work.
