Bodily Material Resources in Collaborative Learning

Jacob Davidsen is working as an associate professor at the Department of Communication and Psychology at Aalborg University in Denmark. He is affiliated with the eLearning Lab – Center for User Driven Innovation, Learning and Design. His research interests are in the field of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Learning Sciences and Multimodal Interaction Analysis. He teaches in subjects including “ICT and Learning” and “Interaction Analysis”. Jacob Davidsen is methodologically experienced in qualitative research methods with a specialty in micro multimodal interaction studies. He is board member of the PBL academy and VIdeo research Lab Aalborg University  at Aalborg University.

In this talk, Jacob will present work on bodily material resources in collaborative learning processes. Two cases will be analysed and discussed – children’s collaborative interaction around a touch-screen and architecture and design students collaborative processes. With these examples, he will also discuss the history and future of interaction analysis in CSCL.
