Guidelines for digital presentations

For ELE2021, digital participants will present in ZOOM and may choose between two ways of presenting

Option A:

Present live in ZOOM. Remember to share your slides while you present and please check that your camera and microphone work properly, ahead of time.

Option B:

It is also possible to pre-record your presentation and stream it in Zoom at your scheduled time. Please note that if you choose this option you will have to stream the presentation yourself. It will be followed by a live Q&A in Zoom.

How to prepare for option B:

Ahead of time: Make a recording of yourself while presenting. In this video we would like to see your screen (where you display your slides), hear your voice and see you in the top corner. If you record in ZOOM with an active webcam, this should happen automatically. We therefore suggest you use Zoom to record. Click here for a video tutorial on how to record a video presentation using PowerPoint and Zoom.

On the day of the conference: Stream your video and be available for the following Q&A session. Click here to see how you stream your video in ZOOM.

Regardless of option A or B:

  • Presentation cannot exceed 20 minutes

  • Q&A session will not exceed 5 minutes

  • Please make sure your internet connection is stable

  • Check audio quality ahead of time
