My research interests are fundamental philosophical questions of education. I am interested in what we mean by 'change', and how can we understand education, in the broad sense, as a social enframing of a living body in the world. In what unspoken presumptions do we hold about time, potential and power in education. In questions of truth, and how education relates and should relate to it. I am fascinated by questions of freedom and injustice in and because of education. In times of democratic and ecological crises, and technological upheaval, the role and capacity of education should be thoroughly investigated.
I got my Ph.D. at the Department of Education at UiO in 2020, on fundamental questions of Bildung from the angle of Catherine Malabou's theory of plasticity. After that I taught first year students in B.A. in Education as a Lecturer at the Department of Education. I have been a guest researcher at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the project Academic hospitality in Interdisciplinary Education – AHIE doing research on fundamental questions concerning interdisciplinary research and education.
