Objectives

ARCHAEONET explores the potential of collective knowledge building, situated and contextual information sharing, and collaborative practices in social and mobile technologies in the design of communication services for the Museum of Cultural History, Oslo.

The two specific design research questions in ARCHAEONET are:

  • How may communication services be designed to support archaeological knowledge and communication practices at the organizational level?
  • How may tasks and ICTs be designed to support young people's knowledge building related to excavation processes and digital cultural heritage?
