About the project
The overall aim of the three-year project is to create an actionable knowledge base on quality digital education. The knowledge base will describe good practices, key contextual factors and insights from stakeholders in the education eco-system.
Our intention is to inspire, inform and enable decision-making and action that support moves towards a more meaningful and safe use of data for purposeful student learning and assessment. By doing this, the project supports more inclusive, quality, digital education across Europe.
Activities
The main activities in the project will be desk research, a survey of educational authorities on the project themes, expert validation workshops, focus groups, Dialogue Labs, interviews with policy makers, experts and practitioners (using a triangulation approach), as well as wide-ranging ‘campfire’ discussions about hopes and future visions.
The project activities are driven by three principles: no ‘one size fits all’, agile transformation and human-centred innovation.
Outcomes
Based on the project activities, a database will be created. The main components of the database are a literature review, 30 learning stories and 15 case studies, as well as a report summarising key findings and recommendations and an online course accompanied by guidelines on how to use and adapt it.
The database will be useful by diverse stakeholders for the development of policies and strategies for data use within education, and by practitioners for identifying key issues to consider as part of digitalisation and use of data for teaching and learning.
