Entrepreneurial Learning and Innovation from Network Collaboration: Case studies of Life Science and Maritime Industry Start-ups (completed)

This project combines research on entrepreneurship and innovation from business with literature on learning from pedagogy in an attempt to unpack processes and activities of entrepreneurial work, learning, and expertise.

About the project

The research questions are: How do entrepreneurs mobilize their (network) resources in order to bring products to market? How do they develop and learn this capacity? And, based on the former, what characterizes learning through collaboration in such networks?

The project will rely on qualitative, comparative case-studies of start-ups and their inter-organizational networks of Life Science (Oslo Medtech) and Maritime Industry (Maritimt Forum Oslofjorden, formerly Oslo Maritime Network) located in the Oslo Akershus region. Empirical sources will be interviews with key persons, observations, and written materials.
