Rogers Kaliisa elected Board Member of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR)

It is our pleasure to announce that PhD candidate Rogers Kaliisa at Department of Education (Iped) has been elected as student member at-large of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR) Executive.

SoLAR is the leading network of international researchers who are exploring the role and impact of learning analytics in education. Mr. Kaliisa will be one of 12 members of the executive board that organizes the International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge (LAK), Learning Analytics Summer Institutes (LASIs), launches initiatives to support collaboration and research on learning analytics, and advises state, provincial, and national governments. Mr. Kaliisa's research focuses on how learning analytics can be used to inform learning designs in Higher Education. His research is very important for the work being done by HuLAR and we are pleased that his efforts are also being recognized among SoLAR members. His membership of the board lasts for 2 years until April 2023.
