Digital faith stories

Completed

Project Leaders: Knut Lundby and Birgit Herzberg Kaare

The Norwegian parliament has decided to fund a reform in religious education, inviting the various religious (or secular humanist) organisations to develop their own programmes. The Church of Norway is into a period of experimental developments in selected local congregations. The parish at Haslum outside Oslo got funding to apply digital storytelling on questions of faith and life. These stories will relate to the religious tradition of this folk church. Selected young people (14-18 years old) will raise questions of faith and identity in their biographical mini-films. These will be made according to the principles of Center for Digital Storycenter. The two researchers will study the shaping and sharing of these digital stories, as processes of mediation/mediatization.
