Academic interests
Mainly shared/joint attention, and its consequences in terms of cognition, learning, and capacity for social interaction. Also:

- Filter bubbles and social media
- Attention-related learning difficulties

Current project
The leader learns it all? Investigating learning consequences of “leading” and “following” attention using an educational game. Currently working with Janne von Koss Torkildsen and Engagelab to develop a multi-player version of the language (morphology) learning app “Kaptein Morf”, which will be used for experimental research on collaborative learning in 7-10 year olds. Research questions include:
- Is collaborative exercise more effective for learning morphology than individual exercise?
- What is effective in collaborative learning: learning from peers, teaching peers, or both?
- Do the answers to the questions above differ depending on attention problems, such as those associated with ADHD?
Methods
- Quantitative approaches
- Experiments
- Dyadic methods
