Charalambos (Haris) Themistocleous is a linguist with research interests in speech, language, and communication. He has developed machine learning models for automatic treatment, monitoring, and differential diagnosis of patients with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), Alzheimer's disease, and Mild Cognitive Impairment from speech, language, structural/functional MRI, and neurophysiological testing. His Ph.D. research focused on the information structure & prosody interface and the sociolinguistic effects on speech. His work has been published in more than twenty journal publications, including the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, Brain Sciences, Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, and Frontiers in Neurology
