Open lecture: Assessing Language and Literacy Skills in Typically and Non-Typically Developing L2 Children

Professor Esther Geva will give an open lecture on research findings with typically developing and at-risk second Language (L2) learners.

About the lecture

In this presentation I will discuss research findings with typically developing and at-risk L2 learners. This research aims to address fundamental questions concerning normal developmental trajectories of language and literacy skills, the role of typological differences, when is language proficiency important, and how we should go about figuring out who are the individuals who, in addition to being L2 learners, may also have a learning disability such as dyslexia or language impairment.
