About the project
The main goal of the EduCo project is to establish higher education cooperation between UiO (Department of Special Needs Education and Department of Education) and EduHK (Center for Educational and Developmental Sciences, Department of Early Childhood Education) within the field of educational psychology. During the two years (2019–2020), we aim to:
- develop and implement educational activities for PhD students:
a novel PhD course “Individual differences in learning, motivation and well-being” will be held in autumn 2019 at UiO as part of the PhD programme provided at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, UiO. It is developed and implemented in collaboration with EduHK.
- start PhD students mobility as short visits between the participating institutions:
LeMoWe research group from UiO will visit Hong Kong in May 2019, and CEDS research group from EduHK will do a visit to Oslo in November 2019
- initiate new research collaboration between the research groups
Outcomes
The project is expected to result in both joint research and higher education collaboration between UiO and EduHK. The experiences from the PhD course and student mobility are expected to open up possibilities to further develop and strengthen the higher education cooperation. Moreover, the research groups involved in the project are expected to initiate novel research openings and to find new funding sources for future collaboration.
