About the project

The study concerns a longitudinal follow up until age 11 of a subsample of 60 children from the original two cohorts participating in Part 1 (see above). Approx 30% of this subsample experienced serious reading problems at age 11. An intervention program based on a single case designs was tried out with eight of these poor readers. The program aimed at improving the reading skills of the individual children, in addition to supporting and enriching the practices employed by teachers and schools in working with children with serious reading problems.
