The research group ComPros at the Department of Special Needs Education is hosting an open mini-seminar on Children’s trust in testimony and first-hand exploration. In the seminar the researchers will address how children seem to trust other’s claims about the world, and how children might develop an ability to test those claims if given the opportunity to do so.

The research group ComPros at Department of Special Needs Education is hosting an open seminar on developmental needs of children with Down syndrome. Researchers from Vanderbilt University are contributing. The seminar will focus on reading skills, narrative skills, and cognitive functioning.

Welcome to an open seminar about the development of reading skills—skills that set children on trajectories towards life success. The seminar is hosted by the research group Literacy and Numeracy in Context (LiNCon) at the Department of Special Needs Education. Our guest lecturer is Dr. Hélène Deacon, Killam Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and Director of the Language & Literacy Lab, Dalhousie University, Canada.
