Åpent seminar om stamming hos barn

Institutt for spesialpedagogikk har gleden av å invitere ansatte, studenter og klinikere til et seminar om stamming hos barn med Dr. Elaina Kefalianos fra Universitetet i Melbourne og Associate Professor Courtney Byrd fra University of Austin. Begge foredragsholdere er internasjonalt anerkjente eksperter på sitt fagfelt.

Om innlederne

Elaina Kefalianos

Elaina Kefalianos is Lead of Teaching in Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne, She is also Director of the Stuttering Clinic and Section Lead for Developmental Stuttering within the Centre for Neuroscience of Speech at The University of Melbourne. She has worked exclusively in the field of stuttering for the past 10 years across academic, research and clinical roles. Her current appointment as co-lead of the Early Language in Victoria Stuttering Study reflects one of her key research foci understanding the epidemiology of childhood stuttering. Recently she received funding together with her collaborators at The University of Oslo and University College London. This research program is focused on treatment interventions for preschool children who stutter.

Courtney Byrd

Cortney Byrd is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests include the study of speech-language contributions to childhood stuttering and the development of innovative treatment and clinical training tools. Her research laboratory received an endowment in 2012 and was renamed the Dr. Jennifer and Emanuel Bodner Developmental Stuttering Laboratory.
