This workshop is the second of the two short zoom meetings that are being held to replace some parts of the June conference in Iceland.

This workshop will focus on exploring differences in instructional practices and interpretations of those practices across countries.  As such, we will be hosting subject-specific discussions around two videos taken from two separate participating countries.  The discussion will focus on differences in interpretations of instructional practice and whether the observed instruction does or does not reflect patterns common across countries.

PLATO scores will be used as a jumping off point for this deeper discussion and implications will be drawn around the interpretation of PLATO scores across country contexts.  In order to select the focal videos for discussion, we are asking all QUINT PLATO coders to review and score some videos in preparation for this workshop.  Note that this scoring will also be used to understand the reliability of PLATO scoring across countries.  We hope that all the PLATO coders will be able to join the workshop, as well as other QUINT affiliates who have not been trained or certified in PLATO.
