Guest Lecture: Marte Blikstad-Balas at University of Iceland

"Why are active, engaged students so crucial for good teaching – and how can we activate students more in the classroom?" 

As part of the QUINT Mobility grant programme, Professor Marte Blikstad-Balas holds guest lecture at University of Iceland. In her speech, Blikstad-Balas shows what the research says about the importance of activating and challenging students across grades and subjects. She explains the concept of intellectual challenge and provide concrete examples of what characherises lessons with high intellectual challenge where students are actively engaged in their own learning.
