QUINT congratulates Nikolaj Elf on receiving financing from the Danish Independent Research Foundation for a new project "Green Transition in Lower Secondary Education: A Mixed-Methods Study of Quality Teaching in Danish Schools."

The project aims to develop new quality criteria for teaching in the green transition, where teachers and leaders must be better equipped in relation to the educational aspects of the green transition.

The grant is part of major investment by The Danish Independent Research Foundation to provide DK 333 million for 65 research projects within the green transition. The funds will be used to help talented researchers and to ensure new, original ideas and research breakthroughs in the fields such as nature and the environment.

The Danish Minister of Education and Research Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen expressed how happy she was to see all the ideas and the great interest there was for research into green transition in the selected projects. In fact, The Danish Independent Research Fund received all together 452 applications, out of which 65 were granted funding and will run for the next 3-6 years.
