SpedAims ProCIP – Professions in Collaboration for Inclusive Practice

In the SpedAims ProCIP research project, we want to find out more about what characterizes the interdisciplinary collaboration in which the Educational-Psychological Service (PPT) is involved.

Facts about SpedAims ProCIP

Investigating

the interdisciplinary collaboration in the Educational-Psychological Service (PPT).

A collaboration

between SpedAims og Norwegian Educational-Psychological Services (PPT) across the country.

Funded

by The Research Council of Norway and all the partners.

We need more knowledge

Research indicates that there is variation in the quality and organization of interdisciplinary collaboration and that this can be challenging. There is little research into how staff in the Educational-Psychological Service (PPT) experience the interdisciplinary collaboration around children and young people with special educational needs.

In SpedAims ProCIP, we ask:

  • WHAT characterizes the interdisciplinary collaboration that the Educational-Psychological Service (PPT) is involved in?
  • HOW do Educational-Psychological Services (PPT) collaborate with other agencies to promote an inclusive learning environment for children with a special need for adaptation?

The survey is two-part. The first part of the survey is a national survey to leaders and advisers in Educational-Psychological Services (PPT) in Norway. The survey focuses on the interdisciplinary collaboration, inclusive learning environment, organisation, working methods, knowledge and competence needs in the Educational-Psychological Service (PPT). The survey will be followed up by a qualitative case study of six Educational-Psychological Services (PPT).
