About the project
In my projects I first aim to find out primary language teachers’ beliefs and practices about translation use in the language classroom through interviews and classroom observations. Then I will, in partnership with the same teachers, develop translation tasks informed by translanguaging pedagogy to be implemented in their language classrooms. The goal here is to see how/whether informed use of translation tasks can enhance multilingual pupils’ language learning by activating their translanguaging resources.
