MIRACLE'S technical infrastructure

The aim of this page is to describe the supporting technical infrastructure used throughout the MIRACLE project. This infrastructure was designed, developed and implemented by EngageLab based on a pedagogical trajectory provided by the team of researchers, in collaboration with teachers and museum curators.

We decided early in the project that one method for which students can answer questions should be video-based, enabling each group to work on their presentation skills and make use of technologies now becoming commonplace. Building on Internet trends, we also decided to include a Twitter-like messaging interface for answering questions and then spatially positioning the text. The latter is to encourage students to integrate each others’ answers by re-using tweets, thereby encouraging discussion around difficult scientific principles.
